RE: Media agencies back Gary Digby's Channel 4 role
Jeez I'm confused. If this Digby fellow is so good-and a series of strategic consultancy roles in radio, newspapers and now C4 would suggest he knows his onions-why did ITV get rid of him? And if this 'JA' fellow is the future for C4 why does he need Mr Digby to address its most pressing issue- avoiding the 'mauling it took during last years trading season' and then; "Gary will be able to look at all bits of the business, and whether Channel 4 has the right structure from the trading team to the daily delivery, the client team and the digital team, and see how joined up the elements are." Seems to me C4 should of hired this guy in the first place and then got 'JA' to take care of innovation .Whatever that means.Or equates to in revenue contribution.
