At last! But I can see the reluctance on Sky's part to allow people to only pay for the programmes they want - the current model is like a compilation album where you pay an inflated premuim for top tracks surrounded by a lot of filler. Wonder how much cannibalisation this new model will bring now subscribers have the option to only pay for what they want. Be good to see how much filler you can actually get rid of on these PAYG deals.

Sky is taking on LoveFilm and Netflix by launching its own pay-as-you-go internet TV service, which will allow consumers to watch some of its movie and TV content whether they are Sky subscribers or not.

ITV has signed a deal to add archive programmes and seven-day catch-up to BSkyB's on-demand Sky Anytime+ service as part of the pay TV strategy ITV chief Adam Crozier's included in his five-year transformation plan.

Zeebox's chief has declared the second screen is "entirely free to be commercialised", as Sky Media prepares to start selling ads to partner BBC content such as 'Top Gear' and Wimbledon on the social TV app.
