First to air on 15 October is female-oriented Five Life, which will air between 6am and 11pm. Five US, which will feature American content, will launch the following day and will broadcast daily between 4pm and 1am.
Five US will premiere dramas Shark, starring James Woods as a defence attorney who swaps sides to become a prosecutor; Vanished, about a senator's wife who goes missing, and Conviction, about young district attorneys.
Five Life has signed up the Ellen DeGeneres Show, Australian drama series Love My Way and Supermodel Extra, which have backstage gossip from Five's terrestrial series Make Me A Supermodel.
The channel will also have new episodes of Home and Away as well as a weekly omnibus and an extended version of kids strand Milkshake!
Five yesterday named Nick Thorogood, former ITV editor of daytime, as controller of the two digital channels.

Five's two new digital channels will go live on 15 and 16 October, the broadcaster announced today.
