German car giant Audi launches a £4m campaign next week to support its new RS4 model. Starting with a TV ad on Channel 4, the campaign will go on to include print, poster and online support in January and February next year.
For the campaign, Audi's advertising agency, BBH, has tinkered with the famous Audi strapline Vorsprung durch Technik, to try to make the car appeal to over-35 year old men seeking to own a powerful car.
Its new strapline will be 'RS4: Sinister Vorsprung durch Technik'and in the ad the car is transformed into a predatory black widow spider.
