What does your job involve?
Managing and leading the paid-search division. This involves strategising on all client accounts, developing strong relationships with our search partners and increasing revenue streams through new business or existing client opportunities. As well as training and mentoring staff, I am responsible for developing and executing the overall paid-search strategy for Greenlight, including technological development.

What's it like working at Greenlight?
It is like being on a rollercoaster. The environment and culture is young, fun and ambitious and the thing I like most about the agency is the people. Everyone really enjoys working here, which creates a great atmosphere.

What qualifications and experience do you need?
You need to be ambitious, hard- working, focused, forward-thinking, competitive and aware of the bigger picture.

How do you spend a typical day?
My day starts at 8am with a cup of black coffee and a conversation with the chief operating officer about my poor music taste. The team arrives just after 8.15am and we then plan the day. A typical day involves several internal client strategy meetings, spending time with the team, client and agency calls, and a quick sandwich or long lunch, if I'm lucky.

What's the best thing about your job?
My team - they amaze me every day, either through their performance or just by teaching me something new. It's also great to be part of what is still considered a new, innovative industry.

And the worst?
There is never enough time. Before you know it, another year has passed and we still have so many ideas.

Who helped you get where you are today?
My previous two managers at Capital One and the Energy Saving Trust. They encouraged me to do better as a person and as a leader. I picked up a whole range of skills just from observing their different management styles. I liked the fact that they were both approachable and inspiring, something I hope I am to my team today.

Who do you aspire to be like?
No one really, I just want to improve myself.
