Video feature: Can you juggle motherhood with a career in the media?

It's a dilemma faced by many women working in the fast-paced media industry: will your career suffer if you take time out to start a family?

As the Government discusses shared maternity leave for new parents and the ongoing financial crisis makes starting a family an ever-more daunting prospect, the RadioAcademy ties up with networking organisation Young Women Working in Media to host an evening panel debate.

Watch three media professionals who are making motherhood work for them - writer and broadcaster Natasha Desborough, BBC 6 Music presenter Nemone Metaxas and the RadioCentre's director of strategy Lisa Kerr - field questions on everything from staying visible while on maternity leave to expressing breast milk at 3.30am before a radio broadcast.

A podcast of the evening's debates will soon be available on the RadioAcademy website.
