Digital marketing budgets look healthy for 2009

Despite the pressures facing the economy, it seems the biggest challenge facing marketers is not how much budget to spend on digital, but where to spend it. A survey of 100 leading marketers by Affiliate Window found that 31% feel the biggest issue facing them is that there are too many digital marketing options available and they don't know how to get the best from their investment.

The research shows that despite reports to the contrary, budgets still look healthy for 2009. Nearly 60% of marketers plan to increase the money spent on digital marketing campaigns next year.

This makes encouraging reading, especially when nearly half of businesses already attribute 75% or more of their marketing spend on digital, it found.

It also found 89% of marketers plan to spend more or the same of their budgets on affiliate marketing next year.
