ITV renews Krypton Factor ad-funded deal

The Krypton Factor returned to ITV's screens last year after a 13- year hiatus in ITV's biggest ad-funded programming deal to date.

ITV claims that last year's return of The Krypton Factor, hosted by GMTV presenter Ben Shephard, reached more than 18 million viewers during its run.

The TV quiz show, originally presented by Gordon Burns, was aired for 18 years before it was culled in 1995.

The deal with Sage forms part of a campaign between the two, which looks to promote Sage's Business Brain campagin for 2010.

ITV said that last year's Krypton Factor was the first ad-funded programme to establish as a peak-time property on terrestrial television.

The news series starts in early 2010 and will against be hosted by Shephard.
