In September, the circulations of the Daily Record and Sunday Mail fell significantly in the Republic.
The circulation of the Daily Record fell 71.1% month on month and 83.2% year on year, to 501 copies. The circulation of the
Sunday Mail dipped 78% month on month and 88.5% year on year, to 920 copies.
A Trinity Mirror spokesman said it is "reviewing the publishing strategy of the Daily Record and Sunday Mail in the Republic of Ireland". Pulling the newspapers out of Ireland is understood to be one of the options, as is reducing the number of copies that are distributed in the country.
No members of staff will be directly affected, as the Republic of Ireland operation is managed from Glasgow, alongside the Scottish business.
The review does not cover Trinity Mirror's other national newspapers in the Republic of Ireland, including the Daily Mirror, Sunday Mirror and The People.
