The agency will be based in Kent and is expected to launch at the beginning of August.
Jones, a former board member at WFCA, left the full-service marketing agency earlier this month after five years. He will be replaced by Manning Gottlieb OMD's executive board director and head of press, online and search, Mark Gallagher.
Jones joined WFCA in 2004 and launched its media department, servicing clients including Bathstore, The Perfume Shop, BMI Healthcare and Yazoo.
He has worked in media for more than 30 years and was co-founder of MediaCom, where he later became managing director and deputy chairman.
He started his career within the marketing and advertising division at Unilever in the 1970s.
In 1999, Jones co-founded Jones Britton Breckon Company, but left the agency in 2001 before it folded to take up a new role at former agency Grey Retail.
