Specsavers in Hawk-Eye deal

LONDON - Optical retailer Specsavers has become the first sponsor of Sky's on-screen tracking system, Hawk-Eye, used by cricket commentators to analyse the action in greater depth.

Specsavers in Hawk-Eye deal

Under the agreement, brokered by MEC Access, the Specsavers brand will appear during Sky's TV coverage of this year's highly anticipated Npower Ashes series, which starts tomorrow (Wednesday).

Specsavers idents will appear whenever Hawk-Eye appears on screen, giving the brand an exposure of up to four seconds per view.

The partnership will run for the duration of the season, including five Ashes Test matches, two Twenty20 matches and seven One Day Internationals - all against Australia.

The coverage will be on Sky Sports, Sky Sports HD and the Sky Player online TV service.
