The partnership commences on Wednesday (8 July) and runs until 18 July. Sponsorship content will appear across 10 hours per day of Virgin Media's Living channel and UKTV's Yesterday and Watch channels.

Target programmes for the sponsorship include Catherine Cookson and Poldark on Yesterday, Private Practice and Will & Grace on Living and New Tricks and Strictly Come Dancing on Watch.

The partnership was negotiated by IDS agency sales senior executive Lauren Bates and Target Media TV planner and buyer Lisa Browning.

The Young Victoria is released on DVD next Monday (13 July). The drama depicts Queen Victoria as a vibrant, brilliant young woman when she came to the throne aged 18, belying her historical image as a grumpy old empress.

Last month, IDS renewed the English Beef and Lamb Executive's sponsorship of Market Kitchen on UKTV Food in a deal worth about £500,000.
