AdConnection wins £1m International Hotel Destination media business

 

LONDON - AdConnection, the independent media agency, has been awarded the £1m media planning and buying business for International Hotel Destination Marketing, the specialist tourism marketing company.

The account, which includes the media business for Tourism Development Company of Trinidad & Tobago, Fiji Tourism and Jolly Beach Resort & Spa-Antigua, used to be held by integrated agency DKA.

It is not known if DKA was invited to repitch for the business, but other undisclosed agencies were involved.


The media review was handled by Nova Alexander, director of IHDM, who was said to be impressed with the agency's "innovative planning approach and knowledge of the travel and tourism market".  

At AdConnection, the tourism company joins a client roster that includes Access Self Storage, Evans Cycles, Lyons and Wagamama.

Led by managing director and founder Declan Reddington and his deputy, former ZentihOptimedia executive Catherine Becker, the agency has ambitious plans for growth.
