Bazalgette, who left Endemol in September 2007, has joined as a non-executive director of CIG, which plans to list on the Alternative Investment Market, the stock market for small-to-medium-sized businesses, later this month.
According to company filings with the AIM, other listed directors are David John Smith, executive chairman, Anthony Martin Foye, chief operating officer and chief financial officer, and Jonathan James Garnham Conibear, non-executive director.
The filings state that CIG's investing activities will focus on business-to-business media businesses both in the UK and overseas, "with a particular focus towards businesses involved in publishing and events".
It was also stated that CIG's policy would be to acquire "public or private media companies and businesses which, in the opinion of the directors, have the potential for operational improvement and would benefit from consolidation. The directors intend to identify businesses that own assets which satisfy identifiable customer groups' need for information and data in their workflow."
CIG was unavailable for comment.
