Redman has been appointed as business development director for Europe, Middle East and Africa, responsible for leading the pursuit of multi-market business in the EMEA region.
He joins after eight months as an independent business development consultant, plus a stint as managing partner at PHD.
With MEC currently involved in several international pitches, Redman is believed to have stepped straight back into the fray, working on presentations for Ikea, Lloyds Banking Group and RSA.
He will be drawing on his previous experience as UK business development director at MEC, where he played a pivotal role in building the agency's client base during its double-digit expansion between 2004 and 2007.
Redman, who reports to Jeff Hyams, chief strategy officer for MEC EMEA, said he was "delighted" to have returned and to again be involved in its new business drive.
