Kiss said it is trialling "creative commercial takeovers" and "integrated advertising options" across its homepage, rather than selling standard online display ads.
Bruce Mitchell, head of digital for Kiss, said homepage advertising "should be about providing something unexpected and creative".
As well as a raft of social media tools, the new site has a strong video presence to tap into brands shifting spend into pre-roll advertising.
Mitchell said work on the new site began in September last year and had been built on an open source platform to allow it to reach out to the wider developer community to integrate new functionality.
Integrated into the new site is the Kiss Kube media player and interactive playlists, which have been rolled out over the past few months.
The launch is supported by a Lynx takeover campaign, booked through Mindshare.
