The AdSense search product is available for both mobile network operators and mobile website owners, and is being rolled out around the world.
Users are promised the same speed and reliability they expect from the traditional Google search service, with mobile operators and publishers receiving a share in the ad revenue generated by searches from their sites.
All search results pages will be hosted by Google, but the new AdSense offering will give publishers the option of customising them with their own logo, as well as their own footer links.
A Google statement about how people could use the new mobile search states: "Whether they are day-dreaming of Hawaii or trying to find the perfect Valentine's Day gift, mobile phone users will get instant access to Google search including comprehensive web search, local, image, and news results - all formatted for their phones."
The service follows the launch of AdSense for mobile content in September 2007, designed to let publishers generate revenue from their sites through Google text ads.
