Barra, a former search marketing manager at Moneyfacts, the financial price comparison site, will report to Cheeze group account director Ashley Spooner.
At Moneyfacts, Barra was responsible for traffic acquisition and retention strategies, as well as working on display and website development.
Barra’s appointment follows 11 new hires at Cheeze, which was founded in 1999.
Recent appointments have included Tom Griffiths as business development manager, Tim Cook as advertising group head (London), and Ashley Spooner as group account director, Web 2.0.
Cheeze was acquired by the Digital Marketing Group in 2007 for £9.5m. Clients include Budget Car Rental, Holiday Cottage Group, AXA, BUPA and RSPCA Pet Insurance.
