Dow Jones makes key sales appointments

 

LONDON - Dow Jones International, the ad sales unit for News Corp-owned Dow Jones & Company, has promoted two of its senior London-based sales staff.

Caroline Taluy has been promoted to senior group head of the advertising sales team, with responsibility for Dow Jones' properties including The Wall Street Journal, its international editions, WSJ.com, Barron's magazine, luxury lifestyle glossy WSJ. magazine, and the Far Eastern Economic Review.

Taluy is responsible for advertising from the energy, technology, telecom and law sectors and the Middle East region. She joined Dow Jones in 2002 following five years as a freelance advertising sales executive and teacher.

Meanwhile, Dana Whitaker has been promoted to group head of sales. Whitaker, who joined Dow Jones International in 2004, covers Scandinavia, the Channel Islands, Wales and Scotland, as well as the aerospace, financial and investment banking sectors.

Also joining the sales team as account manager covering Italy and the luxury goods and consumer sectors is Vicki Renwick. She previously worked for News Corporation, IPC and MediaCom. In her new role, she will have a special focus on WSJ. magazine.

Separately, Caroline Ingman has been appointed marketing and research executive for the marketing team at Dow Jones International. She joins from Clear Channel Outdoor where she was research executive.
