Clownfish will become part of Aegis' digital agency network Isobar and provide digital and sustainable solutions for business and marketing communications providers.

Robert Lerwill, chief executive of Aegis, called the investment "highly strategic", adding that it will improve its relationships with its clients "by linking marketing communications and sustainability in a robust and meaningful way."

Founded in 2002, Clownfish offers clients a number of services, including STEER, a self-assessment tool that helps identify the risks and opportunities for brands engaging in the sustainability agenda. It also offers a number of other sustainability services.
Clownfish, which has offices in London and New York, already works in close partnership with Aegis for a number of clients, including Coca-Cola, Reebok and Beiersdorf. Other Clownfish clients include Unilever and Tesco.
