Last week, UKTV announced that from 7 October Watch will be the new name for UKTV Gold+1, while Alibi will be the new name for UKTV Drama.
Paul Moreton, currently channel head of UKTV Gold and UKTV Drama, will take over the running of Watch. The channel will be home to BBC series Torchwood, Mistresses and Larkrise to Candleford, as well as the new Richard and Judy 8pm show.
Moreton will also continue to look after Gold when it launches in its new incarnation as a dedicated comedy channel, also in October.
Meanwhile, Steve Hornsey, currently deputy editor of UKTV Drama and UKTV Gold, will become channel head of Alibi, the new name for the UKTV Drama channel.
Dedicated exclusively to crime content, Alibi will air Sherlock Holmes, Taggart and Waking the Dead.
Both Moreton and Hornsey report to UKTV director of entertainment, Christian Drobnyk.
