LONDON - Channel 4 is to debut the second series of hit teen drama Skins online, with the first episode to be played on E4.com and social network MySpace - before its transmission on television.

Fans of the show will be able to view the first episode on MySpace, with the full TV episode split into four segments from this Saturday (2 February). Viewers will also be able to watch the entire first episode in one place at www.e4.com/skins between 10pm and midnight on 10 February.

Skins will get its first TV airing via digital channel E4 on 11 February at 10pm.

As part of the collaboration, Skins has a major advertising presence across MySpace UK. The Skins MySpace community has more than 110,000 friends.

MySpace and E4.com will also show Unseen Skins, a series of short online specials featuring new young writers and directors.

Sarah Martin, marketing manager for E4, said: "Getting programming out to where our viewers are is an ongoing and important part of E4's strategy."
