Aegis agency merges broadcast units

LONDON - Aegis agency Feather Brooksbank has merged its TV and radio units to form a new single broadcast department, led by previous head of TV Andy Niblett.

The Edinburgh-based agency said the move would allow for more integrated planning and trading. Niblett will lead the newly merged broadcast team, responsible for TV, radio and cinema, while Alison Black, previously head of radio, becomes head of press, replacing LeeAnn Dempster, who left the agency in December to join Zoom Airlines as its marketing director.

The move follows last February’s restructuring of Feather Brooks-bank’s planning and buying operations, which were split into specialist teams for individual media, overseen by the then newly appointed head of trading Stuart Bell.

At the time, Feather drafted in Niblett from Aegis sister agency Vizeum to head its TV department, having recruited Anna Carson from communications planning agency Exposure in 2005 to head digital.
