The additional video content from Reuters will supplement the FT’s in-house video production, which delivers more than 100 videos a month. The FT said it expects video production to further expand into 2008.
Reuters’ latest tie-up comes three months after FT.com signed Reuters to a three-year rolling contract as its major data provider. Earlier this week it agreed to supply the International Herald Tribune with a range of content.
The recent relaunch of FT.com’s market data section, using Reuters data, has allowed for tighter integration of data with editorial, more information, including intraday currency rates and extended profiles and financials for 40,000 global companies.
