LONDON - Revolution brought search expertise from Yahoo!, Microsoft and Latitude live to the industry today, with its first ever online seminar.

The Future of Search, broadcast this morning, featured a panel of sector experts: Richard Firminger, regional sales director, Northern Europe, Yahoo! UK and Ireland, Mel Carson, adCenter community manager, Europe, Microsoft Digital Advertising Solutions and Jon Myers, search director, Latitude. The 45-minute debate was hosted by Revolution editor, Philip Buxton.

At its peak, 185 users were watching the event live, and with a rush of user questions coming through, a lively debate ensued.

Hot topics included Yahoo!s new Panama platform, how to optimise search, mobile marketing and its technical limitations. Panellists also lent expert opinion on the recent DoubleClick and aQuantive acquisitions.

More than 100 people were still logged on after the 45 minutes the event was due to run, with many more logging on after the broadcast to watch at their convenience. For those still hungry for more, speakers will also be sending in information and slides to supplement topics covered.
