The flight search function will work for the UK visitors to lonelyplanet.com and has been provided by Global Travel Market. It lets people search for flights across multiple airlines and online travel agent websites in a single search.
The Lonely Planet website already offers other travel services including insurance, accommodation and tours.

The Lonely Planet website is visited by 5m people a month and has a community of more than 300,000 registered users. Along with travel services, there are blogs and in-depth reports from guide authors around the world. It also acts as an e-commerce tool selling the Lonely Planet travel guides.
