The tourist company's parent group, Cornwall Development Company, has invited advertising and media agencies to pitch for the next three-year contract to promote the South West as a holiday destination.

The closing date for an initial pre-qualification questionnaire is 8 June, followed by pitches taking place between 3 and 14 August.

The successful agency or agencies are expected to be appointed by the end of the summer.

The review comes as more British people are expected to holiday in the UK over the next two years, as a response to the recession and anticipated warmer weather this year.
