Meanwhile, the body has announced a newly appointed board and new members. With the addition of Norway, Turkey, Sweden, Romania and Croatia the number of member IAB Europe countries has grown to 18, with Switzerland, Portugal, Ireland, Luxemburg and Hungary set to follow in the next few months.

New corporate members joining the organisation include BBC.com, Business Week, comScore MediaMetrix, Nielsen Online, United Internet Media, Goldbach Media, Hi-Media, Netlog, Publicitas Europe, Truvo, Nugg.ad and Insites Consulting.

The new board members are made up from seven national IABs and five corporate members, representing the interests of stakeholders in the European digital marketing industry.

IAB Europe is also set to reveal a redesigned website and a new logo. A key part of the website will be feedback from the work achieved in dialogue with the regulator and the achievements of its five working groups standardising Display, Search, Social Media, Targeting and Mobile.
