Bauer to promote RAF recruitment campaign

LONDON - The Royal Air Force has started a major campaign across several Bauer Media brands this week, in a bid to recruit more young men and women.

The campaign will run across key Bauer titles with a strong readership aged between 16 and 24; Zoo, Heat, More, Kerrang! The Box, Kiss 4Music and Workmoose, Bauer Media's recruitment website.

The activity will run across each brand's multi-platform offering for seven weeks and is designed to promote the RAF's personnel administrator roles (Pers Admin). It will feature the experiences of two celebrities, Darren Jeffries and Matt Littler, who played Max and OB in the Channel 4 show Hollyoaks, as they undertake a week of RAF new recruit and specialist training tasks.

Advertorials and editorial interviews with the Hollyoaks stars will be supplemented with commentary from RAF mentors. Radio and TV brands will also air short features in a diary format, in the deal brokered by Nigel Wheat, senior integration manager at COI.

Workmoose will promote the RAF Pers Admin roles as ‘Job of the Week'. All campaign activity will direct consumers to a microsite where full details and footage of Darren and Matt's RAF experiences will be showcase with a link to the RAF recruitment website.
