Ebiquity boosts its senior team

Ebiquity, the media and marketing analytics company, has made three senior appointments following last week's rebranding from Thomson Intermedia.

The appointments are the company’s first major hires since its official launch on 11 September, and are designed to move Ebiquity closer to its goal of becoming the pre-eminent voice in media and marketing effectiveness in the digital age.

Chris Hanage, a former mobile industry executive at Player X and Infospace, joins as sales director for Billetts Media Monitoring. In his new role, Hanage will be responsible for leading the sales expansion of the Billetts Media Monitoring business as it develops from an advertising monitoring service into a multi-purpose data portal.

The expansion of the Billetts brand, acquired by the company in August 2005, is said to be pivotal to future growth, and a new service called Billetts Marketing Investment Management has been launched to maximise effectiveness and efficiency throughout the communications cycle.

Elsewhere, Mark Reen has been appointed as managing partner for ePublisher, the systems support business unit within Ebiquity that provides data for the publishing industry. Reen, a former ad director at IPC, will be tasked with expanding ePublisher’s services beyond its current e-vouching business to include new digital initiatives.

In addition, former head of magazine marketing at Emap Advertising, Richard Hemming, has joined as head of insight. In the new company-wide role, Hemming is responsible for the management of all company data, updated daily to assist Ebiquity’s clients in making sense of the ever-evolving media landscape.
