OMD's West moves to M2M

LONDON - M2M, the agency for luxury brands, has appointed Michelle West to the role of new business and marketing executive.

West, who joins from fellow Omnicom agency OMD UK where she spent two years on the PepsiCo business, will be responsible for all areas of marketing and new business activity across the agency. She took up the position earlier this month.

The appointment comes as M2M works to build its new business. The agency was created in 2003 as a single client agency and now operates a roster of 30 global clients.

In April this year, M2M won the UK, Europe and Asia account for cosmetics and fragrance house Estée Lauder, a deal worth £105m.

It had previously held the account in the UK and Japan, while the Asian business was split between two local agencies.

The win came as a significant expansion to M2M's portfolio, and by extending the agency's network, owner Omnicom was able to avoid a conflict with sister agency OMD, which holds the ad accounts for fellow cosmetics companies, Coty and Elizabeth Arden.
