Reporting to Jerry Hill, Initiative worldwide director of strategic development, Collison will manage the agency's international PR and marketing business, and will work with the firm's regional marketing bosses to coordinate worldwide activity.

Before joining Mediaedge:cia, which he left earlier this year, Collison was editor and publisher of trade title Media & Marketing Europe.

It was this background that helped secure him the job at Initiative. Hill said Collison's experience of being on both the media owner and the agency side "is a great fit with our plans for marketing and communication".
