Dawkin-Jones leaves UKTV for NBC

LONDON - Laurence Dawkin-Jones, executive director of commercial at UKTV, is to take up the newly created role of UK managing director of NBC Universal's global TV networks division.

He will take up his position, based in London, this autumn and will report to Roma Khanna, global president of NBC Universal's global networks and digital initiatives.

Dawkin-Jones' role is one of four regional managing directors, the others being managing director of EMEA, Francois Roux, Asia Pacific managing director Raymund Miranda, and Latin America managing director, Steve Patscheck.

Dawkin-Jones will be responsible for setting the growth strategy for NBC Universal's UK global networks business, and leading all commercial and business development initiatives for the UK operation.

Dawkin-Jones has been overseeing the UKTV portfolio since September 2005. UKTV is currently recruiting to replace him.
