Insiders' Guide - Primesight

Number of people in your team?

We have 24 people in our London sales team and six people in our Glasgow and regional teams. We sell outdoor ad space including roadside six-sheets, large format backlights and six-sheet and experiential advertising opportunities within destinations such as health clubs and cinemas. We have also launched Mall(2), the largest premium advertising opportunity within the UK's top shopping malls.

Who does what?

Our senior management includes chief executive Naren Patel; sales and marketing director Nigel Clarkson; group heads Louise Pither, Stephen Rackham and Rob Doel (head of Innovations); head of trading Matt Stubbings; marketing manager Eve Beaton and regional sales manager Keith Lammie.

Who is the biggest character and why?

The loudest character is probably Christopher Earnshaw, who generally walks in every morning rapping and is the instigator of many jokes.

What is your office atmosphere like?

Relaxed but buzzy, with lots of shouting, laughing and some battles over what music should be listened to.

What stands you apart from the rest of the industry?

We may be smaller than the other major outdoor companies, but we are big on personality. We have the best backlight panels in the market and, with the addition of Mall(2), we are the only contractor to offer premium advertising within the UK's top shopping malls, such as Bluewater in Kent and Birmingham's Bullring.

What does it take to get a job in your team?

Applicants need to be confident, with a sense of fun. To work here, you have to knuckle down when the going gets tough and lighten up when the time is right.

How are staff encouraged to hit targets?

Depending on what is going on in the market, sales employees can expect regular bonus incentives and prizes. Incentives also come in the form of bets - as in, "You've been talking about this for weeks. If that comes in, you can have a meal for two on us."

Where do you all let your hair down?

Having just moved from Holborn to Charlotte Street, we are still checking out the many pubs in the area. However, Jerusalem in Rathbone Place has already played host to some legendary '80s dancing from most of the team. - Is your team the best in the business? E-mail
