Associated Newspapers has hired Nick Edgley to head its international sales division. Edgley, who will report to group commercial director Guy Zitter, joins Associated from his post as international sales director at the Telegraph Media Group.
City Gateway Media, the large format outdoor screen operator, has appointed Ian Bohn as its first sales and marketing director. Bohn was a director at More Group (now Clear Channel) and sales and marketing director at banner firm Megaposter (BlowUP Media).
Emap Radio has appointed Gill Taylor as head of sales for City Talk, its new speech station launching in Liverpool in January. Taylor joins from UTV's Wire FM where she was sales manager.
Digital agency Sapient has appointed Maggie Lonergan as client development director. Lonergan, who was formerly client services director at 20:20 London and eMC Saatchi, will be responsible for acquiring and managing long-term strategic accounts.
Online TV provider blinkBox Entertainment has made two key appointments. Clare Bolton joins as marketing director and Oliver Snoddy is the company's new head of advertising. Bolton was previously head of consumer marketing for Microsoft Online Services Group, while Snoddy was an associate director at OMD, running all digital aspects of the McDonald's, PepsiCo and Peugeot accounts.
Interactive advertising provider Right Media has appointed Jamie Geoghegan as account manager and Charlie Neer as sales executive to its London-based international team. Geoghegan joins from Adpepper Media in Australia, where he was a senior sales executive, while Neer has come from Right Media's San Francisco office.
Ofcom has appointed Stewart Purvis, the former ITN chief executive, as its new partner for content and standards. Purvis, who began his broadcasting career at the BBC and then moved to ITN, starts on 3 December.
