WHO DOES WHAT?
We are a full-service digital agency specialising in the media and entertainment sector. Shauna Morden is head of project management and Jason Brooks is senior project manager for property. Marianne McElwee and Sian Reeves are both senior project managers and Mary McKenzie, Daniel Henderson and Sam Hobbs are project managers. Sarah Arbuthnot is our head of marketing communications, Rosie Atallah is an account executive and Steven Farag is product development director.
WHO IS THE BIGGEST CHARACTER AND WHY?
Thanks to the seating plan in our lovely new sunny offices in Putney, Dan is the lone man among a host of lovely ladies. This gives him the tag of the biggest character in our area, not only because of his well-known cries about losing his masculinity among pregnancy and "new shoes" chat, but mainly thanks to his random outbursts. A good example is: "I understand the appeal of MySpace, but don't have a page myself. I like being a hobbit... I mean hermit."
WHAT IS YOUR OFFICE ATMOSPHERE LIKE?
Our new office space is strangely tranquil, but underneath there is a hectic, caffeine-driven professional whirlwind, with highly talented people making use of the top resources in our expert creative and technical teams. All this while managing to avoid squabbling over the jam-packed project schedule, plus making sure people have confirmed exactly who needs their next piece of soda bread buttered by the generous Scot in the corner - an extremely important office issue.
WHAT STANDS YOU APART FROM THE REST OF THE INDUSTRY?
World Archipelago happily raises its head above the industry crowd due to our enviable natural ability to work closely with clients to understand and achieve their objectives, resulting in unrivalled digital strategy and solution. Our quirky creative and technical talent allows us to provide an extremely flexible service to our clients. The quality and calibre of our past projects is evident in our portfolio of work, which has won numerous major industry awards and accolades, including an online Bafta, three Bima awards (British Interactive Media) and an EMA.
WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO GET A JOB IN YOUR TEAM?
A distinctly approachable, flexible, innovative and hard-working player -a person who is excited and driven by the ever-changing digital arena and the huge possibilities it opens up and is pushing to constantly evolve the company and our clients in the work we do within this field.
WHERE DO YOU ALL LET YOUR HAIR DOWN?
Aside from the ridiculously competitive table football league that we hold onto as a matter of life or death, there are the old-school WA bowling outings, five-a-side football evenings and many, many, many trips to the watering holes that lie within a few strides of our doorstep - just to help keep them in business, of course.
