Taylor leaves OMD for MEC Interaction

LONDON - MEC Interaction, the digital, direct and search division of Mediaedge:cia, has poached Justin Taylor, the head of digital at rival agency OMD International, to take up the role of interaction partner within MEC's Global Solutions division.

Taylor joins with immediate effect, taking responsibility for several major clients, including Xerox and Visa, as well as helping manage and expand the international division. He will report to Jeff Hyams, managing director of MEC Interaction, EMEA. While at OMD International, Taylor managed digital communications for clients such as Apple, Sara Lee and Sony. He joined OMD UK in 2003 where he managed a number of clients including Sony, Peugeot and McDonald's, and was also responsible for the digital output from OMD Fuse.
MEC Interaction has also taken on Louise Blishen from OMD International as an account manager, working within Global Solutions. While at OMD Blishen worked on its Peugeot and Emap accounts.
Hyams said: "These appointments signal our continued commitment to strengthen and grow MEC Interaction's global capabilities. Justin brings a wealth of experience, having worked in the digital media space for eight years and having seen the industry evolve to its current prominent position."
