First Radio Sales, Napster, Conde Nast, Publicis Blueprint, Chrysalis Radio, Jetix UK and Nordic Channels, Discovery Networks

National radio sales agency First Radio Sales has appointed former Capital Radio head of sales Tony Mellor as sales director. Mellor, who left Capital in the GWR merger to join ABC Media, will manage all trading from the London office of First Radio Sales, reporting to managing director Neil Webster.

Napster has promoted Thorsten Schliesche to vice-president of sales and marketing Europe, a new position in the company that he will hold in addition to his current role as general manager for Napster's Frankfurt sales office. Napster also announced the promotion of Ian Greaves to head of programming for Napster UK.

Conde Nast has promoted Sallie Chater (right), fashion ad director on Tatler, to ad director on Easy Living. She replaces Charlotte Whitmarsh, who has left to become ad director on Hachette Filipacchi's Elle.

Customer publisher Publicis Blueprint has promoted Mark Stancheris to the new role of head of new business. Previously ad director on NatMags' Esquire, Stancheris joined Publicis three years ago as an ad director and launched Debenhams Desire.

Chrysalis Radio has promoted Angie MacBeath to senior account manager, responsible for sponsorship and promotions. She will look after four account managers and one project manager. Also at Chrysalis, Sophie Carvill has been promoted to account manager on business solutions. She will deal with key clients direct and key agencies outside the top 20.

Jetix UK and Nordic Channels has appointed Jo Sherlock as commercial director, UK and Nordic. Sherlock, who will start in March, joins from Bloomberg Television, where she was head of global new media broadcast distribution.

Discovery Networks has hired Gilles Storme as European director of advertising sales. Storme moves from Sky Media's third-party sales arm for the National Geographic Channel and Sky News International, where he was account director and head of research for advertising and marketing partnerships.

FT.com has hired Mary-Beth Christie from Rightmove.co.uk as head of product management, responsible for the development and ongoing product management of FT.com. The financial site has also appointed Nancy DePiano as global marketing director, who has joined from Reuters where she was global director of interactive marketing.
