Four agencies to pitch for National Express

National Express Group has shortlisted four agencies to pitch for its £5.5m media planning and buying account.

Media Planning Group, Initiative and MediaCom are due to pitch against incumbent The Piper Agency, which has held the account for 10 years. The pitch takes place next month.

The review of the media account, announced in September, is understood to cover the firm's rail and coach services, and is being handled by the Advertising Agency Register.

In July, National Express switched its creative advertising account from Inferno to Hooper Galton, also overseen by the AAR.
