Sony teams up with Indy mag on technology issue

Sony is sponsoring a technology special within The Independent Magazine, out with this weekend's Independent on Sunday, in a five-figure deal.

The campaign, designed by The Independent Solutions team, uses editorial integration, an exclusive reader offer, a cover wrap, four-page spread, and tactical strips.

Sony will also have an online presence including a gadget clinic and an online forum that runs until New Year's Eve.

Stuart Robertson, a business development manager in The Independent Solutions team, said: "The Independent Magazine provides the perfect platform for Sony to promote a number of key Sony brands, such as the Vaio laptop and the Cybershot T10 digital camera in time for the Christmas market.

"To enable Sony to engage with readers we developed an exciting bespoke multimedia solution that provides readers with the means to interface with the Sony brands."

Mikah Martin Cruz from Sony said: "This an excellent way for Sony to promote its new range of products to a tech-savvy audience."
