Three vie for Moroccan tourism work

The Moroccan National Tourist Office has shortlisted three agencies to pitch for its £7.5m creative advertising and media planning and buying accounts spanning the UK and Ireland.

Media planning and buying agencies Total Media and Team UK Media, plus full-service agency and incumbent Golley Slater are due to fly out to Morocco for presentations within the coming two months.

A spokesman for the Moroccan National Tourist Office confirmed this week the brief was due to be sent out within the next few weeks and a final decision on the 2007 campaign would be made before the end of the year.

Golley Slater was appointed in September 2004 to manage the three-year account and developed an integrated campaign focusing on Morocco's cities as short-break destinations. It is understood that Golley Slater is currently the only creative agency pitching for the brief, which could be split between media and creative.
