Jeremy Corfield moves from his role of general manager of strategy and development in Australia to head the newly formed Eye Media, Europe.
Sales for the group were previously handled in-house by the consortium of councils which owns it and the sales team will transfer to Eye Corp.
The win is Eye Corp's first in Europe and the group plans to use the contract as a stepping stone to further expansion in the region.
Corfield will be based in London, but will spend time in Manchester working with the existing airports sales team, which will be rebranded under the Eye Media, Europe banner. There will be some recruitment to fill London-based roles in areas such as finance and administration.
Eye Media, Europe has committed to renovating MAG's sites. An Eye Corp spokesman said the new operation would focus on this before taking part in more tenders.
