Carat wins Intercontinental Hotels account

Carat is celebrating its second win of the New Year, with the addition of Intercontinental Hotels to its portfolio.

The hotel chain has appointed Carat to oversee the media strategy, planning and buying for its Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn brands.

The appointment comes just days after Carat fought off competition to secure the media account for World Wrestling Entertainment.

Carat communication planning director, Philip Reddaway, said: "We are delighted to be appointed by InterContinental Hotels Group to help them achieve their business objectives for these brands.

"This win is a testament to the levels of commitment, enthusiasm and market insight the Carat pitch team produced during the pitch process."
