Time and Fortune International has announced the promotion of Mike Jeanes as research director.

Jeanes will be responsible for Time and Fortune’s research activities in Europe. He will report to James Griffiths, marketing director for Time Europe.

I-vu, the interactive screen media company, has appointed Fiona Fahy  as a consultant to provide expert knowledge across the business’ sales operations.

She will be responsible for expanding I-vu’s UK and US portfolios. Fahy has a background in technology advertising, public relations, CRM and e-mail marketing. She has worked with top corporations based in the UK and US such as Imagio, a newly acquired agency of J Walter Thompson, Memetic Systems, Pop Multimedia, J Walter Thompson, Agency.com, Web Partners Inc and Richard Laermer Media.

Egmont has announced the appointment of Sam Vernon as group ad sales manager. Vernon joins from Emap Esprit, where she was ad director for the parenting titles for 18 months.

She was Espirit ad manager and also senior sales executive at The National Magazine Company.

Vernon will oversee a team of three, and will be responsible for driving all non-news-stand revenue across Egmont’s contract and licensed magazine portfolio.

This includes above-the-line advertising, sponsorship, promotions and advertorials.

Following Red Fig’s recent appointment of Mark Rowland as CEO, the participation TV specialist has made an addition to its sales team. Lucy Wilkinson joins as business development manager. She has seven years’ senior account management experience. She headed up ITouch’sUKmedia team, and was responsible for projects including Pop Idol and Big Brother, and managed print, broadcast and agency clients including Express Newspapers, The National Magazine Company, Channel 4, The Wireless Group and FremantleMedia.
