Londoner ad sales go to John Brown Citrus

The Londoner, the monthly title put out by the Mayor of London, has appointed John Brown Citrus Publishing to handle its advertising sales.

The title deals with essential policies and services supplied by the Greater London Authority.

The contract between JBCP and GLA extends up to three years unless the publisher reaches a certain level of ad sales, at which point the contract will be open to tender due to the procurement processes of the local authority.

JBCP also runs the ad sales for Tube magazine for Transport for London and is hoping this will present them with some crossselling opportunities.

Mike Stanton, JBCP group ad director, said: “The Londoner offers an advertiser a fantastic opportunity to reach a huge geographically specific audience in an uncluttered environment.”

“There are a limited number of ways for advertisers to reach such a specific audience, in such high volumes in an editorial environment that is relevant to all recipients – The Londoner offers advertisers this opportunity,” Stanton added.

Deborah Dickey, GLA commercial director, said: “Our market research tells us The Londoner makes a significant difference to how informed readers feel about what is happening in their city.”

The contract has been held by Richard Desmond’s Express Newspapers.
