Enter the Entreé

Entrée, a new glossy magazine for Scotland’s chefs and restaurateurs, has been launched by Media World, reports Hilary Way.

The group also publishes on-trade magazine Dram, a bar magazine, Repertoire, an annual book on Scotland’s Top Style Bars and runs the Scottish Licensed Trades Awards.

Editor, Nina Young said: “Having published Dram for the last decade we felt that it was time that restaurateurs and chefs had a similar trade magazine.

“Restaurateurs and chefs who read Dram kept requesting food and restaurant articles. But with the on-trade so active at the moment space didn’t allow Dram to do this.

“Instead we decided to launch Entrée, which will initially be published bi-monthly and posted directly to chefs and restaurateurs.”

The first issue includes a design feature, a sound-off column from John Quigley and a Q&A session with food critic Joanna Blythman.
