Carlos scoops best designed mag award

John Brown Citrus Publishing’s classy contract title for Virgin Airlines has scooped the prestigious Best Designed Magazine of the Year award.

The title, which won Best Designed Customer Magazine in its first year in 2003, beat off stiff competition from Edit, Observer Sport Monthly, Intersection Magazine and Bogey.

Hosted by Media Week’s sister title Press Gazette, the awards reflect the best in creative innovation across the magazine industry, including front cover design, newspaper supplements, launch titles and typography.

John Brown Citrus sealed three awards on the night, with Bet Designed Launch for Tred, Best Use of Illustration and Best Designed Customer Magazine for Carlos.
