Associated to launch recruitment mag

Associated Newspapers is set to launch a free weekly women’s magazine under the Metro brand, aimed at the secretarial recruitment market.

The magazine, which will be branded under the Metro name, will be distributed every Monday with a print run of about 50,000.

A spokesman for Associated confirmed the launch, describing it as a “weekly recruitment magazine aimed at women aged 20-35, which will also include a mix of editorial on fashion and beauty”.

Metro, the free morning newspaper launched in London in 1999, recently broke the one million barrier in the latest Audit Bureau of Circulations report.

The new magazine would compete against titles such as GAT: Girl About Town, Ms London and Nine to Five, all published by Independent News and Media.
