Maxim ready for Serbian and Greek launch

Dennis Publishing’s lads’ mag Maxim is set to continue its global expansion with the launch of editions in Greece and Serbia.

The continued roll-out of the title will see the Maxim brand extended to some 38 countries, a prolific expansion programme that has taken in an average of over four new editions every year since the first title was launched nine years ago.

The Serbian edition, which hit newsstands two weeks ago, is published under licence by Attica Media and has a print run of 60,000 copies per issue, over four times that of its nearest competitor in the market.

The launch has been backed by a major national campaign on the three leading television channels in Serbia and an outdoor advertising push in five major cities in Serbia and Montenegro.

In Greece, Imako has secured the rights to publish the title alongside other international licences it holds for Esquire and InStyle magazines.

International licensing director Richard Bean said: “Maxim’s international expansion continues apace with these two latest editions.

“The hunger for Maxim’s fresh editorial voice, tongue in cheek humour and modern sexy approach is a strong today as ever.

“The Serbs and Greeks are very welcome editions to the global Maxim family and I know that they will be unqualified successes.”
