Bauer's Amber pushes the good life

H Bauer is preparing the launch of an upmarket magazine dedicated to leisure and travel.

"Celebrating the good life in all its glory", Project Amber will be a "premium-priced" title and will launch in January. Content will include travel, property, and home, as well as features on entertaining and leisure.

Simon Young, managing director of The Publishing Consultancy, which sells ad space across Bauer's titles, said: "We're creating a new kind of magazine which draws on a lot of titles, but is unique in the marketplace."

Liz Watkinson, publishing director of Project Amber,
said: "This magazine combines entertainment and service across the whole leisure sector in a unique, luxurious, gratifying way.

"As people have more money to spend but less time in which to do so, Project Amber gives readers the ideas and inspiration they need to lift themselves out of their work-induced torpor and start enjoying their valuable free time."

The third launch in as many months from Bauer, it recently unveiled Blush! for teenagers and Spirit and Destiny, targeting readers with an interest in new age matters.
